IRA staff provides support for the inclusion of astrophysics in school teaching, at any level, through courses focused on lectures, didactic radio astronomical observations, laboratories and informal learning experiences.
The resources are designed in order to allow students to experience the profession of “astrophysicist”, in harmony with their own skills and knowledge, using astrophysics as a “testing and application ground”.
IRA has also joined the Italian high-school internship program. In this context it offers both observing sessions for entire classes and individual internships, as scientific and technological trainings but also educational and outreach ones, focused on designing new activities for the teaching and popularization of radio astronomy.
A brochure with the full list of available activities can be found below (at the moment only the Italian version is available).
