Douglas Ferreira Carlos (University of Sao Paulo (USP)), "Spectropolarimetry and time evolution of AGN with VAPOLA"

The Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) has contributed significantly to our understanding of astrophysical sources at mm wavelengths. I present a systematic analysis of the spectropolarimetric properties of a sample of 38 active galactic nuclei (AGN) and Sagittarius A* (Sgr A*) observed with the ALMA observatory during five VLBI campaigns between 2017 and 2023. This analysis combines time- and spectral-domain approaches, enabling the study of variability on timescales ranging from days to years and the comparison of polarization behavior across millimeter and submillimeter wavelengths. We investigate both individual sources such as M87, SgrA*, 3C273, and 3C279, and ensemble properties of different source classes, including flat-spectrum radio quasars, BLLac objects, and other active galaxies.
