Roberto Casadio (Unversity of Bologna - DIFA), "Bootstrapped Newtonian gravity (from compact objects to cosmology)"

A brief review of some fundamental peculiarities of General Relativity making it particularly difficult to quantise is given as motivation for describing the gravitational field generated by compact sources with a self-interacting gravitational potential. From this potential, an effective space-time metric can be reconstructed and hints of Dark Matter phenomenology can be obtained by describing our Universe as a Dark Energy dominated quasi de Sitter space-time.
